JOB VACANCY NOTICE

The PADRE project+ “Resilient regional structures and socio-economic development in Mali” is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ). It is aligned with the strategic directions and priorities set out in the National Decentralization Policy Framework Document. Its objective is that the public and private actors of the regions and communes of interventions in Mali are able to give together impulses to socio-economic development that meet the needs of the local population. With this in mind, the project aims to strengthen the capacities of decentralization actors for a competent exercise of their roles and tasks in the field of socio-economic development. The project is part of the "Regional Development and Social Cohesion" programme of German cooperation in Mali. The interventions of the PADRE+ focus on local authorities, private sector actors and civil society in the regions of KoulikoroSegou, San and Gao. They are structured around three areas of intervention: Strengthening the institutional capacities of partner regions and communes for local and inclusive socio-economic development; Support for public-private dialogue on joint and inclusive planning of development measures; Strengthening private sector actors in the regions of intervention as well as entrepreneurial initiatives. • s in accordance with existing human resources strategies, GIZ instruments and procedures with a sense of staff development; Ensure the representation of the Director, the Project Director on site at Bamako in the case of his absence (work remote), in a sense of co-leadership; Be part of a sense of development, implementation and reinforcement of intervention strategies, processes and tools for managing the project; Ensure coherence between project interventions and the national institutional framework; Ensuring the quality of relations with government bodies – for the PADRE+ as well as the co-financing projects implemented in Mali in synergy with PADRE+ – implementing partners and beneficiaries of the project; Take into account the different perspectives and requirements of the partners and ensure a good integration of project activities at regional and local level; Acting as the Director of Programme during his/her absences; Represent the decentralisation sector and the contributions of German technical cooperation to the relevant entities. Coordination The incumbent of the post is responsible for: Coordinate strategic and operational planning, ensure timelines are met, manage and assign requests from national stakeholders; Promote agile working methods within the project; Support team spirit and ensure good communication within the project; Promote cooperation and synergy of actions within the development cooperation community, in particular with TFPs operating in the same priority focus as the project; Ensure the technical quality of activities, in collaboration with operational teams and consultants.
