Senior Area Manager
Complex Food Agro Limited, a fast-growing company specializing in the delivery of bio-organic fertilizers and plant protection products to farmers in African countries, is recruiting a Senior Area Manager for its operations in Kenya.
Contract type: Full-time, hybrid
Location: Eldoret, Kericho, Nakuru
Salary: 150,000 - 200,000 KSh per month
About the role: As a Senior Area Manager, you will be the face of the ECORIC brand in Kenya's most productive agricultural areas. You are not just selling a product; you are providing a sustainable, high-tech solution to the country's leading flower exporters and tea plantations. This role requires a strategic "hunter" mindset with strong technical foundations in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Key responsibilities:
Strategic market penetration: Lead the aggressive growth of ECORIC biofungicides in the floriculture (Naivasha/Mt. Kenya) and tea (Kericho/Limuru) sectors.
Key account management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with farm managers and production directors at leading estates.
Technical field excellence: Conduct high-impact product demonstrations and field trials to prove efficacy against key pathogens.
Marketing leadership: Design and lead regional field days, exhibitions, and technical seminars to position ECORIC as a market leader in sustainable agriculture.
Intelligence and strategy: Provide real-time market feedback to the international team to refine pricing and product positioning.Candidate profile:
Experience: Minimum 7 years of proven commercial success in the Kenyan agrochemical sector (specifically flowers/tea).
Network: A pre-existing and active database of large-scale growers and distributors in the target regions.
Technical expertise: Strong mastery of biofungicides, crop protection (CP), and plant nutrition. Knowledge of Global G.A.P. and export standards is mandatory.
Mobility: Must possess a valid driver's license, a car, and a willingness to travel frequently within the region.Education: Degree in agronomy, horticulture, or agribusiness (postgraduate level preferred).
Required skills: Exceptional negotiation ability and the capacity to work autonomously with an international reporting line.
Target regions: Focus on high-value clusters: Lake Naivasha, Mt. Kenya region (Timau, Nanyuki), Nakuru, Kericho, Trans Nzoia, and the Kiambu/Thika corridor.
What we offer: Full-time hybrid position, salary from 150,000 KSh + commission, with fuel and communication costs covered.
