Job Objective: To provide quality customer service and facilitate the customs clearance of clients' goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operational relationship with the client.
Receive client orders (rates already validated via a quote). In the case of new business (new or existing client), a new quote will be issued by the sales department in accordance with SLSM/ALSM/DILS.
Request missing documents and more detailed instructions from the client if necessary.
Inform the client of the progress of file processing in real time (standard or specific report, depending on the quote).
Prepare and submit shipment status reports to clients.
Manage file processing.
Keep the client and IFFOS informed of the progress of file processing and update the tracking software on the status of each file.
Receive and open operational files daily.
Share shipment status with clients daily.
Follow up on BOND requests and update BOND status.
Analyze customs clearance times and prepare shipment tracking updates.
Prepare the on-site delivery plan and follow up on delivery documents (POD, EIR).
Prepare files for invoicing.
Alert/inform management.
Alert the client in case of operational issues (potential or actual) and escalate to IFFS any issues you cannot resolve.
Desired Profile:
Diploma in customs clearance and freight forwarding or relevant training from KESRA.
Knowledge of the single customs territory.
