Operations & Business Controller

Company: Tramigo

Contract Type: Full-time

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Location: Kenya, Rwanda and selected regional markets

Job Context:

Designed in Finland with over ten years of experience and five generations of products in vehicle tracking across all continents, we understand that it takes more than just a tracker made with the highest quality components to secure the families and fleets of Tramigo's customers throughout Africa. Strong local partnerships, a strong brand, and dealer networks are key to achieving this goal and ensuring our ability to respond to the changing needs of fleet owners, families, and entrepreneur partners.

We are entrepreneurs by nature. We act fast, make decisions quickly, and build together. If you are looking for a traditional corporate finance role where every task is already defined, this is probably not the right place for you. We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure, solving problems, and ensuring things get done. This position is an operational role supporting our operations in Kenya, Rwanda, and selected regional markets. You will work closely with our CEO, Group CFO, and local teams to strengthen financial discipline, improve operational monitoring, and build better ways of working in East Africa. We value initiative, accountability, and collaboration. We enjoy working with people who take ownership, constructively challenge issues, and are enthusiastic about building something meaningful together.

Responsibilities:

Strengthen management control in our operations in Kenya and Rwanda.

Oversee internal accounting and improve financial discipline.

Improve invoicing, receivables, inventory control, and cash flow visibility.

Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders.

Improve Odoo processes, reporting, and data quality.

Support certain financial and operational activities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Act as a trusted operational partner for management, ensuring issues are followed through to resolution.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for someone who:

Takes responsibility and follows issues through to resolution.

Enjoys improving processes and bringing structure to busy environments.

Has a solid foundation in accounting, finance, and management control.

Is comfortable following up across different teams and holding people accountable.

Communicates confidently with local and international colleagues.

Is hands-on, reliable, and commercially aware.

Accepts feedback and continuously improves the way they work.

Does not wait for work to be assigned every day, but identifies issues, takes initiative, and helps move things forward.

  • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
