Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of assigned programmes or thematic portfolios.
Prepare annual work plans, budgets, and progress reports aligned with the Centre’s strategic plan.
Coordinate partnerships with governments, intergovernmental institutions, DFIs, and think tanks.
Supervise consultants, technical experts, and project officers.
Organize conferences, fellowships, research collaborations, and stakeholder dialogues.
Produce knowledge products, policy briefs, and technical papers.
Ensure compliance with the Centre’s governance, ethics, and reporting standards.
Manage complex programme activities and deliver results under tight timelines.

Requirements:

Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Governance, Political Science, Law, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 7–10 years’ relevant experience in programme design, implementation, or policy coordination.
Demonstrated understanding of Africa’s political, economic, and governance landscape.
Proven ability to manage multi-country initiatives and engage senior-level stakeholders.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Fluency in English (required); working knowledge of French, Arabic, or Portuguese highly desirable.
Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and collaborative governance.
