The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is seeking a Program Associate, Data Scientist to support data-driven projects in Cameroon, focusing on women's health and maternal, neonatal, and child health. This mid-level role involves data management, statistical modeling, and the development of analytical tools to inform health policy and program implementation. The Associate will collaborate with government and civil society partners to enhance data collection, harmonization, and visualization efforts. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills and a passion for improving health outcomes through data science. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field 1–3 years of experience in data analysis and modeling Proficiency in data analysis software (R, Python, SPSS, or Stata) Familiarity with Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, QGIS) Knowledge of statistical techniques and equity-focused modeling Excellent organizational and communication skills Fluency in English and working knowledge of French Experience with national health data systems or large household surveys Understanding of Cameroon’s health system and gender issues
