Job title : Performance Management Officer Department : FINCON Reporting Line : Team Lead Performance Management Location : Douala Roles & Responsibilities Monitor the bank’s strategic plan to ensure the bank delivers on performance indicators across various departments so that targets are met under the supervision of TL performance Management Under the supervision of TL performance Management, develop and implement strategies to increase revenue. Design and implement performance evaluation approach Perform detailed analysis of staff performance to identify basis for deviations from plans and present result to Head Human Capital Management Management of the performance appraisal process through the administration of clearly defined policies / procedures under the supervision of TL performance Management, Assist organize appraisal review meetings and monitor implementation of appraisal review recommendations Carry out industry survey on Staff Performance. Key Performance Indicator Time taken to attend to grievance issues that may arise from appraisal exercise. Variance between time slated for Performance Appraisal Process and actual time it takes place. Time taken to submit periodic appraisal reports. Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and optimizing the bank’s tax position to minimize liabilities. Managing monthly and annual tax filings; Additionally, collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure accurate reporting and strategic tax planning. Tax Assistance Advise and provide guidance to internal teams on tax matters, and staying updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect the bank’s oper Provide trainings to teams on innovations and changes in the regulations in force. Tax Accounting and Reporting: Prepare and post entries in the necessary GL accounts ( payroll, CIT, VAT and different taxes) Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for tax accounts. Review and sign off on tax provisions and deferred tax calculations. Managing tax audits Ensure self-audit is conducted before tax authority sends demand notice for audit exercise. Review and compute bank exposure on the different taxes during audits, investigation, and advice on undisputed position. Provision of documents to substantiate the Banks position on audits and investigation. Ensure timely objection of assessment raised by tax authorities or any other authority. Attending to queries from Tax Administration and other revenue monitoring agencies on desk audits and general accounting audits. Obtain management approval and settle established liability. Skills Strong understanding of tax laws and regulatory obligations in Cameroon. Excellent analytical, reporting and organisational skills. Proficient in with Cameroon Tax platform and MS Office. Bilingual communication (French & English) is an advantage. Education & Qualifications A Minimum degree is highly desirable and : LLM in Taxation (for candidates with a legal background) MSc in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance MBA with a focus on Finance or Tax Strategy Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CTA) is a plus or a recognized national tax certification (depending on Cameroon Tax bodies) Experience 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in taxation.
