Université de Yaoundé 2, established by decree N°93/026 on January 19, 1993, is one of the state universities in Cameroon. It originated from the former University of Yaoundé and is spread across three campuses: Soa (FSJP and FSEG), Obili (IRIC), and Ngoa Ekelle (ESSTIC and IFORD), covering 323 hectares in Soa. Renowned for its focus on higher education and research, it is a prestigious institution offering specialized programs in social sciences, political studies, and other fields.

Role Description

The Head of Salary will oversee and manage all salary processing, payroll systems, and compensation-related functions for the university. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining detailed and compliant records, performing salary analyses, and managing payment structures. The role requires collaboration with multiple university departments to ensure salary policies align with institutional regulations and budget. This is a full-time on-site position located in Yaoundé.

Qualifications

Proven experience in payroll processing, compensation management, and financial administration
Proficiency in data analysis, financial reporting, and use of relevant payroll software
Strong knowledge of labor regulations and compliance standards
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with various departments
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
Experience in the public or academic sector is an asset
Proficiency in both French and English is highly desirable
Ability to work on-site and commit to a full-time role in Yaoundé
