Recruitment notice: 02 CHAUFFEURS - SG2 – Support Officer II

The African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) is recruiting two (02) drivers for its Office of the Director General in Yaoundé (Cameroon).

Position: Driver – Category SG2 (Support Agent II) Contract type: Permanent employment after a six-month trial period Date of entry into service: Two weeks after notification of recruitment

Main duties:

Under the responsibility of their supervisor, the incumbents of the post will be responsible for:

• Driving the staff;
• Carry out the shopping of services;
• Ship parcels and miscellaneous mail;
• Monitoring the maintenance of the vehicle;
• Ensure administrative follow-up of the vehicle;
• Provide logistical support to the various entities of the Organization;
• Ensure any related tasks assigned.

Candidate profile:

Conditions of eligibility:

• Êbe a national of an OAPI member country and reside in Cameroon;
• Êbe between 18 and 55 years of age on the closing date for applications;
• Enjoy your civil rights and be of good character.

Required qualifications:

• Êhold a Elementary Primary Education Certificate (CEPE);
• Êhold a Class B or C driver’s licence;
• Have at least three years of professional experience;
• Mastering the defensive driving of Category B vehicles;
• Have knowledge of auto mechanics.

Composition of the application file:

Applicants must provide:

• A cover letter
• An extract of birth certificate or a certified copy of the birth certificate or supplementary judgment in lieu thereof;
• A detailed curriculum vitae;
• A certified copy of the driving licence, the CEPE and other certificates of qualification;
• An extract from a criminal record less than three months old;
• A regular attestation of the previous jobs, indicating their duration;
• A medical examination certificate less than three months old attesting to physical and mental fitness.

Salary:

The position is classified in category SG2 of the salary grid in force at OAPI. Recruitment is at the 1st level. The interested party will benefit from the benefits and allowances provided for by the texts in force.

The successful candidate must, before taking up service:

• Present the originals of his diplomas, titles and civil status documents;
• Provide an attestation on the honour of free commitment (if he is not a civil servant) or an act of secondment (if he is a civil servant).
