For our Country Offices in Cameroon and Republic of Congo (RoC), we are looking for a dynamic and committed Senior Risk and Compliance Officer. Reports to: Country Director. Location: Yaoundé or Brazzaville. Duration: Two (02) years. Mission of the Department: To ensure a high-performing WWF CCO & WWF RoC with efficient and effective Financial and Accounting operations and systems, as well as sound management of financial resources to deliver conservation activities. The department ensures that an efficient and effective internal control management and solid financial basis are established, supporting the office in ensuring compliance with WWF International policies, donor regulations, and national laws, while identifying and managing operational and strategic risks. Major Functions: ● Under the Country Director’s supervision, works in collaboration with the Finance & Administration departments and relevant stakeholders to assess the implementation and monitoring of the internal control framework. ● Supports the Finance & Administration Manager in improving the overall financial management of WWF CCO & WWF RoC hosted projects, reaching and maintaining a high level of performance about the KPIs and Dashboard indicators set out for both countries. ● Ensures internal control system reviews for field offices are conducted according to an agreed work plan and reports any potential risk to the Country Director. ● Ensures all WWF CCO & WWF RoC implementing partners comply with WWF standards and that all financial management policies are adhered to in the projects. ● Ensures effective implementation of all financial policies, procedures, and legal requirements in the Programme Offices, so that policies are adapted where necessary to comply with the national laws. ● Assists the finance teams in streamlining financial processes and procedures in WWF CCO & WWF RoC and promotes new financial initiatives and requirements. ● Assesses training and capacity-building needs for finance and key non-finance staff and defines appropriate actions and implementation plans. Assists in conducting training sessions and evaluates their added value.
