ABOUT THE COMPANY Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a local non-governmental organization incorporated in Nigeria in 2009 with registration number CAC/NO/33391 and headquarters in Nigeria’s federal capital territory, Abuja. It was established with a mission to promote socioeconomic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education, research and economic initiatives in Nigeria. It is an allied organization to Family Health International (FHI360) with coexisting and mutually supportive interest in advancing the collective goals of the people and communities served. AHNi has presence across four geopolitical regions of Nigeria with a long history of working in North Eastern Nigeria which includes the cluster 1 states (Adamawa, Borno and Yobe) and its beneficiaries include vulnerable groups such as youths, women, children and elderly at both national and subnational levels.AHNI is competent to support the local partners organizations to implement ACE project based on its competencies in technical, financial, and managerial capacity summarized below: JOB SUMMARY Minimum Recruitment StandardBachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Health Information Management, Public Health, Epidemiology, Demography, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or related fields.Minimum of 2–4 years relevant experience in data management, monitoring and evaluation, or health information systems.Experience working on donor-funded public health projects, preferably GAVI, Global Fund, DoS, UNICEF, or WHO-supported programs.Strong understanding of routine immunization indicators and health information systems. RESPONSIBILITIES The LGA Data Officer will support the collection, collation, validation, analysis, and timely reporting of immunization and project-related data across supported facilities, wards, and communities; Maintain accurate databases and reporting records; and ensure complete documentation of routine immunization sessions, outreach activities, and community interventions. The role includes conducting data verification and consistency checks, supporting Data Quality Assessments and corrective actions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring alignment between source documents, registers, summary forms, and electronic reporting systems in compliance with national, donor, and organizational standards. The officer will provide technical support for DHIS2 and other health information systems, troubleshoot reporting issues, monitor trends and key immunization indicators, generate summaries and performance reports for decision-making, and support review meetings to identify gaps and low-performing areas requiring intervention.
