Africa Ocean Bridge Maritime Operations Group Ltd is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Officer to oversee the company’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring sound financial management, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare, analyze, and manage financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements. Monitor company expenditures and implement effective cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency. Manage payroll administration, tax filings, statutory deductions, and all regulatory financial obligations. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to management for business growth and operational improvement. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal financial policies. Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes. Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records. Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.

Formation / DiplĂ´mes

Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information at all times.

Master’s degree (MSc) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in finance, accounting, or financial management. Professional certification such as ACCA, ICA, CIMA, or CPA will be a strong advantage. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting and financial management software.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail with strong accuracy in financial reporting. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. Preferred Competencies Strategic financial planning and forecasting skills. Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management. Ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights. Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
