JOB ADVERTISEMENT : CIVIL ENGINEER - BEETLE HERITAGE HOLDING, Douala Cameroon (01) CIVIL ENGINEER ASSIGNMENT: We are seeking a qualified and results-driven Civil Engineer with 5 to 10 years of proven experience, preferably in industrial construction projects, to supervise site activities, ensure technical compliance, and drive timely project delivery. Experience working in African countries will be considered a strong advantage. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Site Exécution & Supervision • Oversee all civil works on-site to ensure alignment with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety protocols, and project milestones. • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and verifications to monitor quality, progress, and contractor performance. Identify technical issues on-site and collaborate with stakeholders to propose practical solutions. 2. Planning & Estimation : • Prepare work schedule pertaining to the phase of construction. Translate project concepts into detailed technical plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource requirements. • Prepare resources estimate (manpower, material, machineries, tools & equipment's and other items as required). 3. Coordination & Collaboration Interface with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution. • Participate in planning and coordination meetings, representing the civil works discipline. 4. Quality Assurance & Reporting • Lead the implementation of quality control processes, including material inspections, testing, and approvals. ·Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress reports, material request logs, site inspection records, and as-built documentation. • Submit periodic technical and progress reports(daily, monthly etc.) to management and stakeholders. 5. HSE & Risk Management • Ensure full adherence to Project HSE, local laws, environmental policies, and international construction standards. • Proactively identify project risks and propose mitigation plans. PROFILE : ·Diploma Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage) Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in industrial or large-scale construction projects. Prior experience in African countries or developing markets is a strong plus In-depth knowledge of the construction sector in Cameroon and European practices. Language: English (and French, Bilingual preferred). Driving license: B Immediate availability or short notice period preferred TECHNICAL AND PERSONAL SKILLS • Hands-on experience in structural design, site management, and technical supervision Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, Primavera P6), and construction documentation tools Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural and fast-paced environment Strong organizational rigor and autonomy Analytical mind and risk anticipation Excellent communication, diplomacy and negotiation skills HOW TO APPLY ?
