ABOUT THE COMPANY TechnoServe works with enterprising men and women in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses and industries JOB SUMMARY Qualifications:A minimum of ten years of leadership experience, preferably in strategy consulting, private sector agribusiness, or international developmentA minimum of three years of work experience in one or more developing countriesA bachelor’s degree and preferably a post-graduate degree such as an MBA, MPP or MIA RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy and LeadershipOversee the design, development and implementation of programs across the East & West Africa Region, and drive strategy for the region as a wholeHold responsibility for East & West Africa Region’s $24 million annual regional operating budgetSupport country and regional program directors to develop strategies, platforms and budgetsNew Business DevelopmentGenerate regional new business, leveraging existing relationships and expanding the range of TechnoServe opportunitiesSupport corporate new business efforts for current and new programs in the region and maintain donor relationsDevelop winning proposal strategies: organizing resources, contributing to or authoring proposals and negotiating agreementsTalent ManagementRecruit, retain, supervise and coach country directors and regional team membersEnable cross-cutting learning, partnership and collaboration between teamsSupport and encourage knowledge sharing and professional development among staffRepresentationRepresent TechnoServe to public and private donors of significance globallySupport country directors in the Region to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders such as local and district governments, donors, nonprofit organizations and othersRepresent the region internally, updating the Senior Management Team, Program Office and Board of Directors as appropriate of significant developments in the region REQUIRED SKILLS Leadership skills, Business strategy, Business development REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree
