Réceptionner les livraisons des marchandises et organiser le stockage dans les entrepôts. Modéliser des plans d'approvisionnement grâce à des logiciels spécialisés. Négocier des prix auprès des fournisseurs si besoin. Le métier du gestionnaire de stocks est de maîtriser en permanence la localisation des produits ou des marchandises et en connaître les quantités. Il travaille en collaboration étroite avec le responsable d'exploitation qui supervise les transports, les arrivées et les départs des frets.
