AVIS DE RECRUTEMENT INTERNE / EXTERNE Position: Geotechnical Engineer Location: Goulamina, Mali Reports to: Geotechnical Superintendent. Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the Geotechnical Superintendent, the Geotechnical Engineer must demonstrate technical and conceptual excellence in anticipating problems and guiding the team to deliver agreed departmental and business goals to ensure the value of the business is maintained or improved. Responsible for identifying, escalating and managing geotechnical risks and hazards in support of Goulamina operations. Responsabilités clés : ensure geotechnical data collection, monitoring and reporting is conducted according to required standards; participate in geotechnical inspections and organize daily work with production engineers; provide stability analysis and technical advice on slope design and risk communication; conduct hydrogeological monitoring for pit dewatering; escalate non-compliance with safety regulations; perform geotechnical mapping and analysis to determine failure mechanisms and guide mine planning engineers; supervise drill and blast QA/QC to optimize final walls; produce daily, weekly and monthly geotechnical reports; develop geotechnical models using rock mass classification (Q or RMR) for excavation design; design and supervise geotechnical drilling programs including core logging and sampling; establish laboratory soil and rock testing for material property analysis; perform structural modeling for ground condition assessment and blasting design input. Qualifications: 3 to 5+ years of experience including 2 to 3 years in geotechnical engineering roles; strong safety and quality principles; experience in slope stability and monitoring systems; ability to work in teams with proactive problem solving; attention to detail and compliance with safety standards.
