Position: Deputy General Manager
Mission
Under the supervision of the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Deputy General Manager assists the CEO in the strategic and operational management of the company. In the event of the CEO’s unavailability, the Deputy General Manager assumes leadership responsibilities within the limits of delegated authority.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the CEO in developing and implementing the company’s strategic plan;
Represent and replace the CEO in official bodies when required;
Develop, in collaboration with the Operations Director and the Commercial Director, the industrial development plan;
Ensure effective implementation of strategic marketing and industrial plans;
Coordinate and supervise the activities of the Operations, Commercial & Marketing, and Quality / SHE departments;
Set objectives for functional directors and ensure achievement of assigned targets;
Chair and lead Industrial and Marketing Committees;
Assist the CEO in leading the Executive Committee, serving as Vice-Chair;
Ensure effective communication among the company’s operational units;
Supervise and manage relations with social, technical, and financial partners.
Reporting
Daily and weekly dashboards;
Monthly and quarterly activity reports;
Annual reports (Financial Statements, DSF, etc.);
Project progress reports.
Candidate Profile
Education:
Engineering degree and MBA / Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Business Management (dual competency preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a director-level role, including at least 5 years in the agro-industrial sector (preferably palm oil);
Proven experience in project management and partnership development.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in technical tools (MS Office, ERP, SCADA, AutoCAD);
Good command of the English language;
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
