CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Dive into the action of transforming maintenance strategies and leading a tight-knit team to peak performance. Craft and refine preventive maintenance programmes that keep assets in top shape and production rolling smoothly Harness reliability engineering tools to boost asset health, predict issues before they hit, and elevate overall plant reliability Coordinate seamlessly with operations and other departments, integrating maintenance support to hit short- and long-term goals Prioritise and assign maintenance tasks based on smart plans, minimising disruptions to production and keeping the line moving Oversee all activities with a laser focus on safety guidelines, food safety compliance, and employee wellbeing Lead your team with hands-on coaching, talent development, hiring decisions, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions Step up as a key player on the plant leadership team, influencing strategy and driving cultural shifts towards zero unscheduled interruptions

Expérience

Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in mechanical engineering, backed by at least 5 years' solid experience Minimum 4 years in a management role, handling multiple crafts like predictive maintenance, planning, and MRO stock control GCC Factories Certificate – this one's essential, no exceptions Proven track record in food/feed manufacturing (or similar plant environments); solvent-based vegetable oil extraction experience gets you extra points Computer savvy with Word, Excel, email, and ideally CRM systems like SAP or Pragma Ready to own the reliability game and keep the plant firing on all cylinders?
