Reporting to: National Sales Manager-GRAINS

Key Duties/Responsibilities
Provide substantial technical and logistical guidance to field-based development and research activities on aquaculture and integrated systems of fish farming.
Provide technical guidance on best practices in aquaculture, including efficient feeding techniques and species-specific care.
Serve as a middleman for coordination and communications about aquaculture and fisheries development projects in Nigeria, liaising between Olam Agri IFP and local fish farmers.
Activate and onboard new aquaculture and fish farmers and provide on-the-job training and technical support to farmers
Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve farming practices, operational processes, and productivity.
Collect, analyze, and interpret Aquaculture data to drive operational improvements.

Skills/Experience
University degree in associated fisheries/aquaculture related studies
Minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience in aquaculture, preferably in a technical or operational role within a commercial farm environment
Good knowledge of delivery of quality to markets as related to the handling and processing of fish and shrimp products ensuring product demand in major markets
Technical skills Excellent knowledge of the local aquaculture sector and aquaculture systems, fish health management, and biosecurity protocols, with good links within the industry.
Analytical Skills Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive operational improvements. Problem-Solving Strong ability to diagnose and solve issues related to fish health, water quality, and operational inefficiencies.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a proactive approach to monitoring and maintaining operational standards in the company's Aqua Business.
