Plan International Pilipinas is a girl-centered community-focused non-government organization, serving the Philippines for the last 64 years.

 

We are a newly locally registered Foundation, connected to 80+ Plan International offices worldwide.

 

We work with around 7,000 partner communities, or barangays across the country, delivering programs on (PIER) Protection from Violence, Inclusive Health, Education to Economic Empowerment, and Resilience and Humanitarian.

 

We have 30,000 sponsored children and 2.5 million program participants, co-creating lasting impact, especially for girls.

  Project Overview

 

Futuremakers Project : Driving Economic Empowerment and Employability for Marginalised Young Women and Young People with Disabilities in the Philippines.

 

The Futuremakers Project is part of Plan International’s Skills and Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) portfolio, supporting 1,500 young people (80% women, including youth with disabilities), aged 18–30, to access decent work and sustainable livelihoods.

 

The project focuses on young women and youth with disabilities who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEETs), addressing economic exclusion through skills training, community engagement, and systems strengthening.

 

The Role

 

The Project Officer leads on-the-ground implementation of youth employability and livelihood initiatives. You will work closely with communities, LGUs, and partners to deliver inclusive, gender-responsive, and safeguarding-compliant programs.

 

This role is ideal for a development professional who thrives in community-based work, believes in youth leadership, and can turn strategy into action.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Implement project activities aligned with approved workplans, safeguarding, and gender equality standards

Coordinate and facilitate skills training (employment and entrepreneurship) based on market and community needs

Lead monitoring, reflection, and learning sessions with youth and partners

Document project results, good practices, and lessons learned

Support data collection and reporting with the MERL Officer

Engage LGUs and private partners on policy support, advocacy, and community campaigns

Organize and mentor youth and children’s groups as community change agents

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related fields

At least 3 years’ experience in community development, basic education, or gender-focused programs

Strong background in participatory approaches , working directly with youth and communities

Training in areas such as community organizing, gender and development, child/youth protection, project management , or green skills is an advantage

 

Core Competencies

 

Strong communication and facilitation skills

Proven ability to build partnerships with communities, LGUs, and NGOs

Solid community organizing and mobilization experience

Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and reporting
