Job description We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced HR Lead to join a corporate Head Office team in Johannesburg, supporting HR operations across multiple branch locations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver an effective People Plan aligned with business strategy and objectives. Lead HR best practice across talent acquisition, retention, culture, and organisational development. Provide HR leadership, guidance, and support to management and operational teams. Implement and monitor HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and business performance. Coach line managers on performance management, talent management, and HR processes. Manage discipline and dispute resolution processes to reduce organisational risk. Build strong stakeholder relationships, including unions and relevant industry bodies. Identify and report key HR metrics to support decision-making and business improvement. Ensure compliance with labour legislation, internal policies, and ethical HR standards. Promote a positive, values-driven and motivated workplace culture. Requirements: 3-year B-degree / NQF Level 7 in HR Management, Commerce, Industrial Psychology (or similar). 3–5 years’ experience in a similar HR leadership role. Motor industry HR experience (advantageous). Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen. Advanced dispute resolution, coaching, consulting, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building abilities. Strong IT, data, risk management, and reporting competence. Ability to translate strategy into operational and tactical HR plans. Must be willing and able to travel to various branches as required. Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification. Valid driver’s licence. Clear criminal record.
