Driven by a core strategic mandate for research, training and services, the Institute’s work now spans a wide spectrum, covering biomedical and ecological sciences, intervention studies, health-systems research, service delivery and policy translation. Position Summary – Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a qualified Research Officer who will be stationed at Dar es Salaam Office to support Map EA Node Project, reporting to the Senior Research Scientist . The Research Officer will play a significant and strategic role of continuously assisting core researchers improving the data science capability while contributing to the development of analytical models, preparation of input data, deployment of workflows, and dissemination of results, including writing reports, papers for peer reviewed publication, poster preparations and engaging with relevant collaborators. The ROs in addition to playing the supporting role, are expected to lead, design and implement small projects with deliverables contributing to the overall objective and scope of MAP project.
