Job description Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse

Post Basic Diploma in Operating Theatre Technique

5 years Operational Experience in a Theatre Unit

Previous experience in a management position will be advantageous

Knowledge of the legislative and Occupational Health and Safety requirements

Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel

Afterhours availability own transport

Work flextime

Excellent Leadership qualities and mentoring skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills The skill to manage nursing standards and in-service training

Maintain a professional image and character

Build sound working relationships with multidisciplinary team

Accurate record keeping and the management of stock

Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects

Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
