POSITION: GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND MULTIMEDIA CONTENT CREATOR Location: Lilongwe, Malawi ABOUT THE ORGANISATION Bishop Mackenzie International School (BMIS), the only International Baccalaureate (IB) School in Malawi, located in Lilongwe, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of Graphic Designer and Multimedia Content Creator . JOB PURPOSE The Graphic Designer and Multimedia Content Creator will be responsible for shaping and elevating BMIS’s visual identity across all digital and social media platforms. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design marketing collateral, including social media graphics, web banners, flyers, brochures, digital advertisements, and presentations. Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all internal and external visual outputs. Develop infographics, icons, and layout compositions that simplify complex concepts. Perform photo and video editing. Cut, trim, and assemble video footage for promotional campaigns, social media reels, and event recaps. Perform colour correction, audio cleanup, and sound mixing. Create static and animated lower thirds, intro/outro sequences, transitions, and basic motion graphics. Develop strategic visual content tailored to the algorithm and audience of each social media platform. Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing content using social media tools. Stay updated on current social media trends, viral audio, design styles, and platform features. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field. At least three (3) years’ experience in graphic design. OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends. Strong knowledge and experience using editing software and applications. Must be a quick and critical thinker. Ability to work under extreme pressure. Ability to work effectively in a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent IT skills, especially in design and photo-editing software.
