We are searching for a Mid-Level Research and Policy Analysis Consultant to support a short-term technical assistance assignment focused on demographic transition and its implications for development, policy, and investment in Madagascar. The assignment will bring together demographic and socio-economic evidence to inform decision-making and support the development of practical, audience-focused analytical products. Location: Madagascar (consultant must be locally based and demonstrate a strong understanding of Madagascar’s operating environment, institutions, and development context). Engagement type: Individual consultant assignments only. Applications from consulting firms, consortiums, consortium members, or other organizations will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Conduct literature reviews, evidence gathering, and data compilation. Support quantitative and qualitative analysis. Prepare evidence summaries, presentations, tables, graphics, and briefing materials. Contribute to drafting and revision of technical and policy products. Support documentation of consultations, findings, and lessons learned Desired Qualifications And Experience Degree in public health, economics, statistics, social sciences, development studies, or a related field. Experience conducting research, data analysis, or evidence synthesis. Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex evidence clearly and concisely. Excellent written and spoken French; English and Malagasy are an advantage. Experience working in Madagascar and familiarity with the country’s development context strongly preferred.
