Context: The Human Resources Specialist will serve as the Head of HR in the Djibouti Country Office, in the Djibouti City. The Country Office has a total headcount of 74 employees, who are based across our operations in Djibouti, Ali Sabieh and Tadjourah. This role is in-person in Djibouti city, and might occasionally be requested to travel to the field offices. The incumbent will provide strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions. Reporting to the Country Director, the incumbent will be the principal HR advisor to management, represent HR in Heads of Unit meetings, and ensures the delivery of quality end-to-end HR services in compliance with WFP policies and procedures. The role also provides leadership and supervision to the HR Associate and HR Assistant while building local HR capacity and strengthening HR service delivery.
