Shacon Ltd is urgently looking for a junior accountant to be at our area 3 site in Lilongwe. POSITION: Junior Accountant TYPE : Full Time REPORTS TO: Finance Manager
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory management and issuing goods received notes (recording material purchases, stock, and fuel usage). Preparing daily and weekly financial reports. Processing timesheets for the general workers and actual wage computation for every two fortnights. Assisting with payroll preparation and reconciling time cards for senior staff. Working hand in hand with the human resources office. Maintaining proper filing of all financial documents, purchase orders, goods received notes, delivery notes and receipts. Working hand in hand with the site agent and stores clerk on all matters arising at the site. Any other accounting duties assigned by management.
Diploma or Bachelorâs in Accounting, or related field
Minimum 1 year experience, construction industry experience is an added advantage Knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel Knowledge of Quick books accounting package. Honest, trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision Must be willing to start immediately.
