- 2. KEY RESPOSIBLITIES
Diagonise, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems on heavy plant equipment: Graders, Rollers, Excavators, Dozers, Trucks and Loaders. Install, maintain and repair wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors and ECU systems Carry out fault finding on CANBUS, ECM and hydraulics, electrical controls for XCMG, CAT and other brands Install and maintain lights, beacons, radios, GPS trackers ad safety devices Conduct preventive maintenance and keep service records Support mechanics during breakdowns on site.
Grade 1 in Auto- Electrics or equivalent from recognized technical college Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in auto electrical preferably in heavy plant construction plant Experience with XCMG, CAT, KOMATSU, JCB, VOLVO, Bomag, Dynapac equipment electrical systems is an added advantage. Knowledge of multimeters, diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams and soldering. Valid Class 2 Driving licence preferred.
Good problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
