We are currently seeking a seasoned Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver Break & Fix support services across enterprise infrastructure environments. This freelance, on-call position is based in Antananarivo, Madagascar, and requires an expert capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, network, and infrastructure-related incidents promptly while maintaining exceptional customer service and professionalism. The successful candidate must have in-depth technical knowledge of Nutanix and networking technologies, hold a valid CCNA certification, and demonstrate strong English communication skills. Key responsibilities include providing onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents, deploying, configuring, and managing Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism), performing system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management, as well as troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems related to TCP/IP, Plans, DNS, DHCP, and other technologies, implementing and supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions, responding to critical incidents within agreed response times, collaborating with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects, maintaining accurate technical documentation, and ensuring professional interactions with users and stakeholders.
Expérience
Applicants should have at least five years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering, with hands-on expertise in the Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism) and supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Plans, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching, is essential, along with proven Break & Fix support experience in enterprise settings. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure and networking issues, as well as experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, is required. Scripting knowledge in PowerShell and/or Python is a plus.
Mandatory qualifications include a valid CCNA certification, achieving at least a 90% pass score on the induction assessment, fluent English communication skills (both spoken and written), the ability to work independently in customer-facing environments, and a professional demeanor with a strong customer service orientation. Preferred qualifications include Nutanix certifications (NCP or higher), experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, and prior support experience for enterprise networking infrastructure.
