Our clients include United Nations agencies, international NGOs, foundations and public institutions. We support them across the full digital cycle: software and platform development, information management, data and MEAL systems, ERP implementation and data protection advisory. Many of these engagements are awarded through competitive procurement processes. To support the growth of our business development function, we are recruiting a part-time Proposal Writer. About the role

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Proposal Writer is responsible for preparing high-quality technical proposals in response to tenders, requests for proposals and expressions of interest issued by international organisations. The position involves close collaboration with our technical, information management and project management experts, translating their expertise into compelling, compliant and well-structured submissions.

The successful candidate will ensure that every proposal reflects Relief Applications' quality standards, fully meets the client's requirements and is delivered on time. Key responsibilities Proposal development Analyse Terms of Reference and tender documents to identify client requirements, evaluation criteria and compliance obligations. Draft technical proposals, including context analysis, methodology, work plan, deliverables, team structure and quality assurance approach.

Expérience

Present Relief Applications' relevant experience, project references and team composition in the formats requested. Ensure consistency of tone, structure and quality across all sections of each proposal. Coordination and planning Plan and coordinate the proposal process, from kick-off to final review, with clearly defined roles and internal deadlines. Work closely with technical, IM and project management experts to develop the methodology and implementation approach. Contribute to the preparation of financial proposals in coordination with the Chief Commercial Officer and the Project Management team. Compliance and submission Verify full compliance with administrative and technical requirements, including forms, declarations, annexes, formatting. Manage submissions through procurement portals or by email, and handle correspondence and clarification requests with contracting authorities. Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals, outcomes and client feedback. Candidate profile Additional assets Background in information management, IT or data Familiarity with procurement platforms such as UNGM, UNDP Quantum or EU Funding & Tenders Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in proposal writing or bid management, preferably for United Nations, European Union, INGO or foundation tenders Professional experience in the humanitarian, international development or technology consulting sector University degree in International Development, Communications, Business Administration, Information Management, IT or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset Languages Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English Working knowledge of French or Spanish is highly desirable

Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and persuasive content Sound understanding of consultancy services in software development, information management, data, MEAL or data protection Knowledge of UN, EU and NGO procurement rules and procedures Ability to support budget preparation using spreadsheets Proficiency with digital writing, research and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, AI assistants, and rigorous about checking facts Soft skills Rigorous attention to detail and strong commitment to deadlines Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several proposals in parallel Strong interpersonal and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams Analytical mindset and the ability to identify client needs from complex documentation Discretion in handling confidential information
