Location: Osu, Accra Employment Type: Full-time Salary: GHC 3,500 per month Our client is a well-established designer and manufacturer of furniture and joinery solutions, serving residential, corporate, hospitality and institutional clients across West Africa. The company delivers customised furniture, interior fit-out and related project solutions for homes, offices, apartments, hotels and other facilities. Role Overview The Quality Assurance Officer will inspect materials, production processes and completed furniture and joinery works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and client expectations. The role will help prevent defects, reduce rework and strengthen consistent quality across workshop and installation activities. Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming raw materials, work in progress and finished furniture and joinery products. Conduct quality checks at critical stages of production, finishing, delivery and installation. Verify conformity with approved drawings, dimensions, specifications, finishes and client requirements. Identify defects, non-conformities and workmanship issues and document findings clearly. Work with production and project teams to investigate root causes and agree corrective action. Follow up corrective and preventive actions to confirm that issues have been resolved. Maintain inspection checklists, non-conformance records and quality reports. Monitor compliance with approved procedures, handling requirements and quality standards. Support continuous-improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, waste and rework. Ensure materials and finished products are stored and handled in ways that preserve quality. Requirements HND or bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Production, Manufacturing, Wood Technology, Engineering or a related field. At least 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control or inspection. Experience in furniture manufacturing, joinery, woodworking, construction or interior fit-out is an advantage. Good understanding of inspection methods, specifications and quality-control documentation. Strong attention to detail, observation and analytical skills. Good communication, reporting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work constructively with production and project teams while maintaining quality standards. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
