The Organisation Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge. For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries. We won’t stop until we are all equal. Expert Application Advice

Show Inconnu you’ve already tackled les compétences demandées dans l'annonce—even in a small project or university assignment. Use a concrete example: “During my internship, I applied les compétences demandées dans l'annonce to solve X, achieving Y.” This proves you’re ready, not just hopeful.

International NGO — NGO recruiters read your cover letter to assess your understanding of the humanitarian mission, not just technical skills. Show you know the country field context and the specific challenges of this sector.

First role — Lead with motivation and concrete academic/personal projects. Show thorough research on this organization — curious, well-informed junior candidates consistently outperform more experienced but less engaged profiles.

  • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
