OVERVIEW Site Supervisor needed urgently for a construction project in Northern Ghana. The projects are located across 4 out of the 5 regions in northern Ghana. As a site supervisor, you’ll be assigned to one location at a time. ROLE SUMMARY Work closely with the sub-contractor to monitor the progress of the construction work. WHAT YOU WILL DO Ensure that company health and safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered while ensuring visitors visit to site are aware of the company’s health and safety policy and ensure that they do not go on the site without supervision. Identify potential hazards and manage them accordingly Ensure all personnel comply with health and safety practices by wearing the appropriate protective equipment Ensure all environmental and waste management policies are adhered to Ensure that all staff, sub-contractors and visitors to the site are properly inducted Fully co-operate with the company’s customer policies and ensure all directly employed personnel work within the required specification and adhere to general company policies. Assist supervisors with planning work activities Complete site and other reports REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES Minimum of HND Minimum of 5 years working in the construction industry Must have working knowledge about construction site, methodologies and technologies Must have knowledge in working in hazardous areas Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency Must present a fit to work certification, guarantors declaration, criminal background check record Must be fluent in English, French will be an added advantage Must possess these corporative competencies: problem-solving, self-confidence, teamwork, orientation to internal-external clients, flexibility and ability to interpret building plans and blueprints.
