Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) is a public university established under the University's Act 2012 by the Government of Kenya in December 2012. It focuses exclusively on technology and is the successor of Kimathi University College of Technology, a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Lecturer, Grade 12 (Full Time, PhD/Fellowship, Location: Nairobi, Job Field: Education / Teaching / Training, Engineering / Technical) in the following specializations: Power System Protection/Analysis, Electrical Machines, High Voltage Technology, Power Systems Dynamics and Control, Computer-Aided Power System Planning, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grid Integration, and Electrical Energy Storage Systems.
Requirements for Lecturer positions: Candidates must have a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent degree qualification with a bias in Power Systems and/or Renewable Energy; a minimum of 24 publication points, of which 16 should be from refereed journal papers; demonstrate evidence of teaching, research and innovation in the relevant area; be registered with the relevant professional body; and demonstrate potential to contribute to the university's academic, research, innovation and community engagement activities.
Tutorial Fellow, Grade 11 (Full Time, BA/BSc/HND, MBA/MSc/MA, Location: Nairobi, Job Field: Education / Teaching / Training, Engineering / Technical) in the following specializations: Integrated Circuits, Analogue Electronics, Physical Electronics, Power Electronics, Semiconductor Devices for IC Design, Compound Semiconductor Device Manufacture, Power System Protection / Analysis, Electrical Machines, High Voltage Technology, Power Systems Dynamics and Control, Computer-Aided Power System Planning, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grid Integration, and Electrical Energy Storage Systems.
Requirements for Tutorial Fellow positions: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a bias in Electronics or Telecommunication (or Power Systems for the Power System Protection/Analysis position) or its equivalent from an accredited university; be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualifications; be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body; and demonstrate potential to contribute to teaching, laboratory instruction, research, innovation and other academic activities in the department.
