Job Requirements – Legal Counsel Job Requirements – Legal Counsel Required Skills Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position at a Financial Institution or law firm. Three years of experience since being admitted to the Bar are required. Obtained a Law Degree and currently serves as an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both spoken and written, coupled with sharp analytical and critical thinking capabilities. Commitment to upholding corporate governance principles. Tasks & Responsibilities Oversee all litigation matters, disputes, and associated legal proceedings to ensure thorough and strategic resolution. Monitor legal and regulatory developments, perform comprehensive legal research, evaluate existing procedures, and deliver expert legal opinions and reports to the Head of Legal/Company Secretary. Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and provide counsel on contracts and other legal instruments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Offer legal counsel, including opinions and guidance, assess policies and procedures for compliance, and prepare necessary legal documentation as needed.
