RoadLamp Limited, an EPCI with over seven years of experience in the oil and gas sector, is recruiting a Finance Graduate Trainee to join its team in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This full-time position offers structured on-the-job training and practical exposure to accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and other finance-related activities.
As a Finance Graduate Trainee, you will work closely with experienced finance professionals, supporting daily operations while developing the skills needed for a successful career in finance. Your responsibilities will include assisting with financial planning and analysis, preparing budgets and forecasts, monitoring departmental budgets, and supporting the preparation of variance reports. You will also help with financial reporting, recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate documentation.
In addition, you will support cash flow monitoring, receivables and payables tracking, and payment processing. You will assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining proper records, and supporting internal and external audits. Other duties include data entry, filing, invoice verification, and participating in finance-related projects as assigned.
To qualify, you must hold a B.Sc. or HND (Upper Credit or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with 0–1 year of relevant work experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant internship, Industrial Training (IT), NYSC, or entry-level finance experience is an added advantage. A basic understanding of accounting principles and good Microsoft Excel skills are required; familiarity with accounting software is a plus. Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or progress toward them are advantageous but not mandatory. Previous exposure to the oil and gas industry is also an advantage. You must be resident in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
We are looking for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal abilities, and a willingness to learn. You should be able to work effectively in a team, manage time well, handle confidential information responsibly, and work under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, along with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
