Sales Executive – PMS & AGO (Oil and Gas Industry) Kenya

The Sales Executive – PMS & AGO is responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and supporting distribution of petroleum products across Uganda and Kenya. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Purpose of the Role

Achieve and exceed PMS & AGO sales targets. Expand customer base and strengthen market presence. Ensure compliance with oil and gas industry regulations. Enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Support retail and distribution operations across Uganda and Kenya.

Responsibilities

Sales Target Achievement – Meet and exceed PMS & AGO quotas. Client Acquisition & Retention – Identify prospects, onboard new clients, maintain relationships. Contract Negotiation – Handle pricing discussions, close deals, ensure favorable terms. Market Expansion – Explore new territories in Uganda & Kenya, support cross-border sales. Reporting & Analysis – Track sales performance, prepare weekly/monthly reports. Promotional Support – Execute campaigns, enhance brand visibility, support retail outlets.

Profile

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Petroleum Studies, or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in sales within the oil and gas industry. Strong knowledge of PMS & AGO products and retail operations. Experience in cross-border sales (Uganda/Kenya) preferred.

Competencies

Sales management, client relationship management, negotiation and contract handling, reporting and performance tracking, compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, commercial awareness and adaptability, customer-centric mindset, accountability and ownership, results-driven approach.

Retail Manager – PMS & AGO (Oil and Gas Industry)

Experience: 5 - 7 years

Location: Nairobi

Job Field: Oil and Gas, Energy and Mining, Sales and Business Development

The Retail Manager – PMS & AGO is responsible for overseeing the retail operations of petroleum products (Premium Motor Spirit and Automotive Gas Oil) across designated outlets. The role ensures efficient fuel station management, compliance with industry standards, maximization of sales, and delivery of excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is commercially astute, operationally strong, and capable of driving profitability while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Purpose of the Role

Drive retail sales growth and profitability in PMS & AGO outlets. Ensure compliance with oil and gas industry regulations and safety standards. Strengthen operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Enhance visibility, accountability, and performance tracking across retail operations. Support strategic expansion and sustainability of retail networks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Retail Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of PMS & AGO retail outlets. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Monitor fuel stock levels, deliveries, and inventory management. Implement operational policies and procedures across outlets.

Sales & Business Development: Drive sales targets and revenue growth for PMS & AGO products. Develop and execute promotional campaigns to increase market share. Analyze sales trends and recommend pricing strategies. Identify new retail opportunities and support network expansion.

Customer Service & Relationship Management: Ensure high standards of customer service at retail outlets. Address customer complaints and resolve operational issues promptly. Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Promote brand loyalty and customer retention initiatives.

Financial & Performance Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly retail performance reports. Track KPIs including sales volumes, margins, and profitability. Monitor operational costs and recommend efficiency improvements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with oil and gas industry regulations. Conduct audits and inspections of retail outlets. Implement risk management and escalation procedures. Promote a culture of accountability and ethical business practices.

Team Leadership & Coordination: Supervise station managers and retail staff. Provide training and development to enhance staff performance. Coordinate with supply chain, finance, and marketing teams. Align retail operations with corporate strategy and objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Petroleum Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in retail management within the oil and gas industry. Strong background in PMS & AGO operations, sales, and compliance. Experience in managing multi-site retail operations is highly preferred.

Graduate Trainee Program – Mechanical Engineers

Job Type: Full Time

The Graduate Trainee Program provides mechanical engineering graduates with structured training and exposure to the oil and gas industry. The program develops technical, operational, and leadership skills to prepare trainees for future roles in engineering and operations.

Purpose of the Role

Provide hands-on training in mechanical engineering applications. Expose trainees to oil and gas operations and safety standards. Develop technical and leadership competencies. Support career growth and succession planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

Training Participation – Engage in structured learning modules and workshops. Project Support – Assist in mechanical engineering projects and operational tasks. Compliance Learning – Understand and apply safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Reporting & Documentation – Prepare learning reports, technical notes, and presentations. Mentorship Engagement – Work closely with senior engineers and managers for guidance. Continuous Improvement – Apply feedback, develop technical and leadership skills.

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fresh graduates or up to 2 years’ experience. Strong academic background and technical aptitude. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
