Familyfun Concept LTD, a dynamic company operating in the retail, manufacturing, and food production sectors, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from NGN 150,000 to 250,000, and is ideal for an entry-level professional with at least two years of experience.
As our Accountant, you will be entrusted with managing our financial records, monitoring income and expenses, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to confidentiality will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Records: You will record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, invoices, and payments. Regular reconciliation of cash, bank, POS, and other payment records will be part of your routine, along with ensuring all financial documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
Sales & Revenue Monitoring: You will monitor daily sales from all branches, stores, bakery, and other business units, reconciling them against cash, POS, bank transfers, and other payment channels. You will identify and report any discrepancies, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Inventory & Cost Control: Collaborating with the operations and procurement team, you will monitor stock purchases and usage, assist in calculating product costs, and track wastage and stock discrepancies. You will also support regular stock-taking and reconciliation efforts.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should hold a minimum of a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage, as is experience in retail, manufacturing, food production, or FMCG. We require at least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, along with solid knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is essential.
Skills & Competencies:
We are looking for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and good organizational and time-management abilities. You should be able to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Your performance will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports, accuracy of sales and bank/POS reconciliations, reduction of financial discrepancies and unexplained variances, and proper maintenance of accounting documentation.
