Engage in academic administration and support the University’s operational and strategic goals by contributing to planning, budgeting, and representation on statutory committees, while also spearheading strategic initiatives and overseeing the supervision of project personnel. Execute all additional duties officially assigned to the position as required. Person Specifications a) Qualifications A recognized awarding institution must confer a PhD in Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness and Quantitative Economics. A recognized institution must confer an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or Quantitative Economics. b) Experience Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of teaching or research experience, with at least three of those years served in a Lecturer role or equivalent position at a higher education institution or research facility. You must have a minimum of three recent publications—published within the last five years—as the first or corresponding author in your field of specialization. A minimum of three (3) graduate students must have been successfully supervised through to completion. Demonstrable evidence of academic leadership, including a proven track record of guiding faculty, shaping curriculum development, and driving institutional excellence through strategic initiatives, is required for this role. c) Competence Demonstrates exceptional ability in guiding and nurturing team members, fostering professional growth, and cultivating a collaborative and high-performing work environment through effective leadership and development strategies.
