United Disabled People of Kenya (UDPK) is a federation of organizations for persons with disabilities in Kenya. Its mandate is to advocate for the rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in all spheres of life. It is committed to ensure Persons with Disabilities share an equal platform and enjoy their rights across all sectors of development.
UDPK is seeking a qualified and results-oriented Program Officer to support the effective planning, implementation, and coordination of its programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Program planning and implementation Coordination with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and other stakeholders Monitoring, reporting, and documentation Budgeting and programme support Supporting programme learning and continuous improvement
Qualification, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in development studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Community Development, Disability Studies, or a related field. At least 2-3 years of proven work experience as a Project Officer or a similar role managing a dynamic program with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience in Program cycle management including Design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Demonstrable experience working with diverse communities, stakeholders and community-based organisations using participatory methodologies. Highly developed interpersonal, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
