AAR Hospital, a 140-bed Level 5 private referral hospital, is seeking an IT Graduate Trainee. Nestled adjacent to the lush green canopy of Karura Forest along Kiambu Road, our hospital boasts a symphony of healing spaces that rejuvenates the soul. The Outpatient Department is deliberately separated from the Emergency Unit, welcoming you with the ambience and beauty synonymous with AAR Hospital.
This is a contract position requiring a Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an IT-related discipline. The job is located in the ICT/Computer field.
Job Purpose: To assist in writing and testing code, gathering business requirements, and coordinating agile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in writing clean, testable code and fixing software bugs. Assist with software design and participate in code reviews. Support system deployment, updates, and routine maintenance. Assist in documenting workflows, system policies, and user guides. Assist in tracking project timelines, sprint goals, and deliverables. Assist in managing and coordinating IT service desk requests from users and provide timely feedback on all requests. Assist in maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and IT documentation.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or IT-related discipline. Software and hardware support. Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, C++. Knowledge of databases such as Postgres SQL, Microsoft SQL.
Required Skills:
Good customer service and people skills. Self-motivated and a team player. Pleasant personality. Excellent communication skills.
