Contour Global, a KKR-backed Independent Power Producer (IPP) operating in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Africa, is seeking a Finance Intern for its Kigali, Rwanda office. As a next-generation IPP, Contour Global manages a diversified portfolio of nearly 6 GW of renewable generation, flexible thermal power, and battery energy storage assets, delivering reliable, dispatchable power solutions to support the global transition to a sustainable and electrified future. Through the decarbonization of its thermal fleet and the development of large-scale renewable energy and battery storage projects, the company is transforming into a predominantly renewable power platform. With over 2 GW of renewable and BESS projects currently under construction and approximately 15 GW in development, Contour Global leverages its in-house development, engineering, and operational expertise to partner with utilities, industrial customers, and digital infrastructure operators. The company delivers tailored power solutions through long-term contracts, corporate PPAs, and powered-land solutions, accelerating time-to-market for data center developments. The Finance Intern will assist the Finance and Treasury teams in daily cash management, payment processing, banking operations, and financial record keeping. This internship offers hands-on experience in treasury operations, allowing the intern to apply academic knowledge in a dynamic business environment. Key Responsibilities: – Fully understand and comply with Contour Global (CG) policies, including CG Essential Information, Company Values, Anti-Corruption, Supplier Code of Conduct, Health Safety & Environment, and obligations to local communities. – Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Contour Global and SIVU Watt information. – Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs. – Forecast short- and long-term cash flow requirements and provide visibility into cash needs. – Prepare and submit payment lists for approval, process payment runs in coordination with Accounts Payable, and verify the completeness and accuracy of payment information. – Follow up to confirm all payments are successfully executed and settled by the bank. – Cultivate strong relationships with banks and financial institutions while ensuring compliance with KYC and account management requirements. – Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports, including cash positions. – Analyze and present insights to the Finance Manager to support liquidity and cash management decision-making. – Negotiate with banking partners to secure competitive foreign exchange rates and execute FX transactions at optimal market rates. – Manage and reconcile petty cash, ensuring transactions are properly documented, approved, and recorded
