Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd (WGG), Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise located in Busia, is seeking a qualified Flotation Reagent Analyst to join its technical team. The company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for this key technical position.
Job Summary: The Flotation Reagent Analyst will be responsible for analysis and optimization testing of flotation and separation reagents.
Key Duties:
Conduct reagent screening tests and dosage optimization; analyse reagent concentrations and addition regimes; study reagent performance and mechanisms; operate laboratory flotation equipment and analytical balances; prepare test reports.
Requirements:
Diploma or above in mineral processing, applied chemistry, or analytical chemistry; 3+ years of mineral processing reagent analysis and testing; knowledge of collector, frother, and modifier chemistry; proficiency in laboratory flotation and analytical equipment.
