Legal Background Tide Ventures is actively seeking two experienced Attorneys to join its legal team starting September 2026, where they will deliver both litigation and non-litigation legal services. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is required. Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, or related tools is essential. Three or more years of experience in a similar role is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are necessary. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are expected. Familiarity with industry-specific software or platforms is beneficial. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is crucial. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development is desirable. Enrolled Advocates of the High Court of Uganda must hold at least two valid practicing certificates, along with a minimum of two years of experience in a law firm specializing in High Court and Magistrate litigation, as well as non-litigation matters such as conveyancing, securities, advisory services, and arbitration. A Second Upper Class LLB degree and a diploma from the Law Development Centre (LDC) are essential requirements. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and a high standard of professionalism. Offer comprehensive litigation support, encompassing case analysis, pleadings preparation, and courtroom representation to ensure effective legal advocacy for clients. Conduct thorough research, draft legal documents, and strategize case approaches while collaborating with attorneys to navigate complex legal proceedings and achieve favorable outcomes. Maintain meticulous documentation, meet deadlines, and adhere to ethical standards to uphold professional integrity throughout litigation processes. Offer non-litigation legal services as part of the advisory team, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while addressing client needs through strategic counsel and solutions.

Responsible for handling High Court and Magistrate-level litigation matters. Conveyancing professionals are responsible for managing the legal transfer of property ownership, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations. They conduct thorough title searches, prepare and review legal documents such as contracts and deeds, and facilitate smooth transactions between buyers, sellers, and financial institutions. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to interpret complex legal terminology are essential for success in this role. Additionally, proficiency in property law and familiarity with electronic conveyancing systems are highly valued.

Enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda, with full eligibility to practice law in Uganda.
