Lusaka Integrated Solid Waste Management Company (LISWMC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, creative and self-driven candidates for the position of Assistant Accountant.
Number of Positions: 1
Job Purpose: To support the Finance Unit by carrying out accounting tasks and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
Reports To: Accountant
Main Duties and Accountabilities:
Process payments to facilitate accountability for public funds.
Assist with the preparation, monitoring and implementation of the budget and ensure expenditure remains within approved estimates and financial regulations.
Prepare annual revenue budgets in collaboration with other sections for consolidation into the overall revenue and expenditure budget.
Prepare financial reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Administer petty-cash disbursements and file vouchers and supporting documents.
Prepare invoices and receipts for revenue received.
Maintain cashbooks, general ledgers and the fixed-asset register accurately.
Requirements:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
Diploma in Accountancy or Finance, ACCA Level 2, CIMA Managerial Level, CA Zambia Application Level, or equivalent.
Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
At least two years of relevant work experience.
