Area Supervisor – System Maintenance We are seeking an experienced Area Supervisor to oversee and maintain critical infrastructure systems within designated regions. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols across all managed systems. Responsibilities include supervising a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing process improvements to enhance system functionality. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in system maintenance, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, along with a valid certification in the relevant field. . Key Accountabilities To ensure the reliable and continuous safe power supply to customers, perform routine maintenance on substation and auxiliary electrical equipment. Perform timely repairs on electrical system equipment to restore full functionality in the most efficient manner possible. Provide support in executing equipment installations to meet both customer specifications and applicable regulatory standards. Perform comprehensive overhauls and rehabilitation of transformers to ensure they are restored to optimal operational condition. Inspect substation equipment to identify potential faults, thereby preventing significant power disruptions and minimizing downtime. Perform comprehensive fault diagnosis on substation equipment to mitigate the risk of significant power disruptions. Prepare comprehensive maintenance sheets in a timely manner to ensure accurate and organized record keeping. Verify that maintenance sheet outcomes are accurately recorded within the electronic data capturing system. Conduct maintenance activities in strict adherence to established system and safety protocols to prevent incidents and ensure workplace safety. Maintain a consistently clean and orderly work environment at all times. Perform cable jointing operations to ensure uninterrupted power supply, maintaining system reliability and minimizing operational disruptions. Perform any additional duties as assigned, in alignment with the organization’s multi-Skilling initiatives. Perform electrical maintenance tasks with optimal effectiveness and efficiency. For optimal performance in this position, the following qualifications are essential: Full grade 12 certificate. Hold an advanced certificate or its equivalent in the field of electrical engineering. Member of EIZ. Minimum 2 years’ experience. Proficient in interpreting wiring schematics and adhering to wiring documentation. Demonstrates solid knowledge of auxiliary switching devices, including timers,
