The Storekeeper is tasked with overseeing the upkeep of all storerooms, managing stock replenishment, inventory control, procurement duties, and related responsibilities as assigned. Accurate reporting is maintained in both physical and digital formats, ensuring precise documentation within the computerized system. All merchandise is stored according to protocol, issued promptly based on approved requisitions, and recorded digitally. Collaboration with the receiving – General Finance Clerk and support for the Procurement Officer are integral to this role. Responsibilities include validating and updating inventory records to reflect physical counts, receipts, adjustments, and returns; verifying proper storage and documentation of received stock; and distributing supplies efficiently to departments. The role demands meticulous tracking of stock levels to adhere to predefined minimum and maximum thresholds, maintaining detailed logs of receipts, withdrawals, and inventory movements. Additionally, the Storekeeper is responsible for packaging, pricing, labeling, and processing returns, ensuring stock rotation and coordinating surplus disposal. Oversight extends to freight handling, equipment transfers, and minor repairs, with the authority to generate purchase orders for replenishment as needed.
