Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills) Applicants must have the following qualifications: A recognized university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Possesses a proven understanding of computer systems, networks, servers, and operating systems. Experienced in diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and network disruptions. Seeking candidates with a proven track record in the field, as hands-on experience is essential for success in this role. The ideal applicant must possess relevant expertise to effectively execute the required duties and meet performance expectations. A minimum of two years in a comparable position is generally preferred, though exceptional candidates with less experience may also be considered based on demonstrated skill and adaptability. It is equipped with a high-resolution granite base for enhanced stability, a motorized Z-axis for automated positioning, and an advanced touch-trigger probe for precise data acquisition. The system integrates seamlessly with compatible CAD/CAM software for streamlined inspection workflows and offers optional accessories such as rotary tables, extension arms, and specialized probes to accommodate diverse measurement needs. Ideal for quality control in manufacturing environments, this system ensures compliance with stringent industry standards while delivering consistent, repeatable results. The position is offered on a contractual basis, with employment contingent upon the satisfactory and successful completion of a six-month probationary period. Professional ICT certifications relevant to the role will be highly advantageous. We are seeking a candidate who possesses either theoretical knowledge or hands-on experience in the following areas: Windows and Linux operating systems, server administration and virtualization, network administration and troubleshooting, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related network services, Active Directory and user account management, database administration and basic SQL, backup and recovery systems, cloud computing and cloud-based services, cybersecurity and system security, software installation, configuration, and patch management, ICT asset and systems documentation, Learning Management Systems and institutional information systems, basic scripting and automation, as well as remote technical support and helpdesk systems. The Assistant Systems Administrator will be evaluated based on a range of critical responsibilities, including ensuring systems availability and reliability, administering and maintaining servers, providing network and connectivity support, managing user accounts and access permissions, implementing cybersecurity measures and system protections, facilitating backup and disaster recovery operations, offering ICT helpdesk and technical assistance, maintaining software and systems, supporting databases and applications, documenting ICT assets and processes, executing system upgrades and ICT projects, and delivering high-quality, timely ICT services. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, maintain meticulous attention to detail, and perform effectively under pressure while addressing system incidents with urgency. They should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, uphold high standards of integrity and confidentiality, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate independently or within an ICT team.
