At TakaTaka Solutions, we collect your waste like every other waste collector, but instead of taking it to a landfill, we take it to our own sites, where we sort the waste and then recycle 95% either ourselves or through our local partners. This represents one of the highest recycling rates in the world.

Job Description:
Operate and oversee the operation of recycling machinery, such as balers, shredders, conveyors, and sorting equipment. Monitor equipment performance and intervene promptly in case of malfunctions or breakdowns. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality recycled materials. Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products for conformity to standards. Collaborate with quality control personnel to address any issues and improve processes.
Supervise but also if schedule allows, do regular preventative maintenance of the machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions while coordinating repairs as needed. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Enforce and promote a culture of safety in the workplace. Keep the workplace clean. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for machine operators. Investigate and report accidents or incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Report and update production metrics, equipment status, and any issues to the relevant parties. Collaborate with colleagues to improve overall plant efficiency and effectiveness. Lead, train, and supervise a team of assistant operators. Motivate and support the team to achieve production goals and targets.
Production Planning:
Work with the Recycling Plant Manager and Recycling Plant Supervisor to develop production schedules and plans. Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production process. Make adjustments to production schedules in consultation with the Recycling Plant Manager and Supervisor based on changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances. Analyze and improve existing processes. Implement process control systems. Work with the engineering team for new equipment design and installation. Data Analysis and Reporting (Use data for decision-making and process enhancements.)

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Proven experience as a machine operator in a recycling or similar industrial setting. Having operated an industrial production machine before with at least 3 process steps that required controlling of specific parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed.
