MSF Operational Centre Amsterdam (OCA) is one of MSF's operational centres. From its headquarters in Amsterdam, OCA supports the planning, management, and delivery of medical humanitarian operations in countries around the world.
Indirect procurement at OCA covers the goods and services required to support the organization and enable its humanitarian work, but which are not procured directly for use in medical programmes (or humanitarian operations). The Indirect procurement spend includes categories such as Fundraising & Communications, Marketing, Facilities and office services, consultancy services, human resources and recruitment services, travel, Insurance, and other corporate services.
Together, these categories represent approximately 30 million EUR in annual spend and involve a diverse range of suppliers and internal stakeholders. Currently, responsibility for indirect procurement is largely decentralised, with individual departments leading their own procurement and supplier-management processes.
To strengthen OCA's approach and establish greater consistency, oversight, and coordination across departments, we are creating the new position of Indirect Procurement Advisor.
